A quick reply and an apology
Yesterday I posted how things went at the craftshow. After speaking with my neighbor who has had a booth at these fall festival’s she told me that the coordinators like to get feedback from their vendors. Having this information last night I did email the coordinator and express what I thought I was an error in judgment by placing the video game booth run by teenagers from the local high school in the midst of local businesses who had paid a fee for space. I was given an apology and was told that if they had been aware that they were going to be having the video game booth they never would have allowed it. I was then told when the teens asked to set up the booth the PTA was under the impression that they were going to be selling bracelets to raise money for their class. I have no problem with the teens raising money for their class. The kids were well mannered also. The problem I had was as a vendor who had paid a fee to have space it was unfair to us and a disadvantage to us by having a video game booth there. I did explain to her that other than the error in judgment that I was happy to participate this year and would be looking forward to next year’s festival. Hopefully, they will use this feedback as a guideline for next year. I do feel that my business was at a disadvantage because of the location. I was happy to see though that they did take my feedback seriously and were willing to apologize and did respond quickly to my feedback.
